The Story
This special glaze combines Jing De Zhen old clay with Plant Ash, which is made up of limestone and phoenix tail fern. After firing at a high temperature, the organic particles of the clay join with the ash to create this natural color. After several alternating rounds of hot and cold water, the thermal expansion and cold contraction create micro cracks on the surface. These tiny cracks absorb the steeped tea over time, giving the surface a unique patina.
