The Story

This lot of tea is almost gone. We're hoping to source a new lot in the future, but there is no guarantee.

Authentic, high-quality craftmanship delivers summertime aromatics of lilacs and watermelon. Light in body with an artichoke and asparagus character, the fluid and absorbing mouthfeel sweetens into a green grape and honeydew aftertaste. Clean and flawless.

This sencha from the Kiyoka cultivar was produced March 2025 by Akira Chikamori at the Sata Seicha Tea Farm in Makurazaki City, Kagoshima Prefecture. Kiyoka (which means “pure fragrance”) is a new cultivar officially registered in 2020 that offers rich flavors, clean, floral aromatics, and minimal astringency. A truly outstanding tea.
